Dr. Hogendobler has been a resident of Virginia Beach since 1966.. He graduated from First Colonial High School and the College of William & Mary, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1982.

A 1987 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, “Dr. Matt” earned a Dentariae Medicinae Doctoris degree and completed his formal education in York, Pennsylvania, practicing in both the York Center for Hospital Dentistry and the Cleft Palate Clinic.

He holds memberships in the National Eagle Scout Association, the Sons of the American Revolution, Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, Delta Sigma Delta, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Tidewater Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
